What Causes Burning Sensation In The Arm Post Self Injury?

I stumbled on something on the street this morning and I fell. I had a little bruise above my eyebrow, but it s gone after I put ice. My face face was not injured and I don t feel pain because I supported it with my hands. I don t have any scratches nor bruise on my hands, but I feel like there s is something burning inside my hands up to my elbow. Is this serious? Is there any medicine I should take? I am 65 yrs. old. thank you.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The bracing of the fall with your hands may have caused temporary problems with nerve function (neuropathy).

There would have been trauma to the nerves in the area with the fall.

This would cause abnormal sensation but this should resolve with time on its own.
There are no particular treatment regimens recommended unless it persists or there was an open wound damage to a nerve.

I hope this helps
