Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I woke up this morning and my right breast is burning/stinging. I quit breast feeding September 2016 and haven t had any mastitis or problems with them the 7 months I pumped/breast fed my baby. Do you have any advice? Should I go in to my doctor or give it a couple days and see if it goes away? THANKS,
Yes, it looks you might be having mastitis, so you need to consult your doctor as your are a lactating mother, you need to be extra cautious. You can opt for a mammogram to rule out any dangerous lesion as lactating mothers have chances of many other conditions too.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muzaffer Hussain Parray,
Dentist
