What Causes Burning Sensation In The Chest After Eating Black Olives?
I ate some maybe 5 black olives last night that had been in fridge for 3 days in a Tupperware container. Hours later I had excruciating burning in my chest, had trouble swallowing and it felt like something was blocked in my esophagus. Then I got up and started vomiting and I was dizzy and stumbling on my feet. I thought I was having a heart attack. And it lasted about 3 hours. I m fine this morning. Could it have been bad/old olives? Or symptoms of a heart attack?
Hello Dear. You might have had severe gastritis after eating olives. Your symptoms are typical of gastritis. Kindly consult a physician next time if you have these symptoms who may prescribe you antacid tablets and gel.
If there is repeated attacks then endoscopy may be needed to rule out if there is gastric or duodenal ulcers.
Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you. All the best With warm regards Dr Sanjay Kini
