What Causes Burning Sensation In The Chest Along With Shortness Of Breath?

Hi. I am having shortness of breath and use a CPAP machine. I have some minor pain and burning sensation near the base of my esophagus that gets better when I eat. I have been diagnosed with GERD previously. Should I be concerned about my heart? Milk of magnesia helps temporarily.
