What Causes Burning Sensation In The Chest, Stomach And Throat?

I have a constant burning sensation in my chest, stomach, and throat. At times I am sometimes short of breath and get headaches. Today it feels like a hot air balloon is inside of my body. I have already been to the doctor and and an emergency stay that ruled out any and all heart or lung issues. The only thing that was found was a single enlarged lymph node. My primary care doctor thinks it s panic attacks and anxiety and prescribed that generic of Zoloft. However, I physically feel ill, not crazy. What could it be?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I think you may be in the early stages of viral fever or malaise.
Also possible may be viral bronchitis with burning pain. GERD with aspiration with burning sensation etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast and use Bronchodilator if feel dyspnoea.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
