What Causes Burning Sensation In The Feet After Receiving Cortisone Injection?
I had a cortisone injection on Wednesday, Feb 1st in my right foot. The purpose was to give relief from burning in the foot when I hike or take vigorous walks. It doesn t seem to have become effective. This is day 5. Is it possible that This treatment may not be effective for me, or do I need to give it more time.
First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, you can be having plantar fasciitis and steroids shots may be effective in such case however one injection alone may not be effective and can be repeated after 2-4 weeks.
Uric acid levels and sugar levels may be needed for workup of causes. Supplements for calcium B12 and folic acid may be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
