What Causes Burning Sensation In The Feet Of A Diabetic Person?
I DO NOT TAKE DIABETIC MEDICINE, MY FASTING SUGAR IS WITHIN 105 TO 122 VARIES SINCE LAST SIX MOUNTH,BEFORE 6 MONTH MY FASTING SUGAR WAS BELOW 110, I HAVE ALSO A HYPOTHYROID AND TAKE THAIROX 25. NOW I TEEL LIGHTLY BURNING SENSATION BELOW MY BOTH FEET,ALSO FEEL LIGHT PAIN AND UN EASYNES WHEN 1ST TIME TAKE MY FEET ON GROUND AFTER WAKE UP AT MORNING.AND IT IS GON AWAT AFTER 10 TO 15 MIN. WALKING. PLEASE TELL ME WHY IT IS HAPPEN AND WHAT IS THE REMEDY.

Hi. Thanks for your query.I understand your concern Long standing diabetes is known to cause periferal nuropathy...which can result in burning feet. But with the reports sent by you... don't seem to be diabetic... it can be said to be border line sugar levels... that too only for 6 months is not likely to cause such symptoms I would suggest- -Get glucose tollerance test &hemoglobin A1c test for knowing exact stage of diabetes &from how long. -Get serum B12 levels also tested. -you may need x ray lumber spine to exclude/find disc problem...which can cause the symptoms of burning. -Consult a neurophysician / diabetologist for specific treatment.&vitamine B12 supplement as per need. Thanks.
