General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.I understand your concern
Long standing diabetes is known to cause periferal nuropathy...which can result in burning feet.
But with the reports sent by you... don't seem to be diabetic... it can be said to be border line sugar levels... that too only for 6 months is not likely to cause such symptoms
I would suggest-
-Get glucose tollerance test &hemoglobin A1c test for knowing exact stage of diabetes &from how long.
-Get serum B12 levels also tested.
-you may need x ray lumber spine to exclude/find disc problem...which can cause the symptoms of burning.
-Consult a neurophysician / diabetologist for specific treatment.&vitamine B12 supplement as per need.
Thanks.
