Yes, my 5 year old grandson complains his foot is on fire, (Burning) usually in the even hours but it is not hot to the touch. He will ask for a cool wet wash cloth and after a little while he is fine. If you try to tell him nothing is wrong he goes in to a crying moot that can last for hours.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have burning sensation in the foot . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like osteoarthritis , vitamin B 12 deficiency , neuropathy , multiple sclerosis or hyperthyroidism can also cause such symptoms . Sometimes side effects of some medicine can also cause such effects. I would suggest you to give our foot proper rest , do icing of foot , massage with almond oil gently and do light stretching exercises under expert . Also take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . If condition doesn't get well then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may order CT scan , physical examination and nerve conduction test . Soctor may prescribe We should also rule out hypothyroidism . Get T3, T4, and TSH test done. Sometimes vascular occlusion of lower limb vessels also causes similar symptoms. To diagnose it we need to do Duplex ultrasound of lower limb vessels.
