What Causes Burning Sensation In The Groin Post Unprotected Intercourse?

Hi doctor my name is Kevin. I had unprotected sex with a girl whose HIV status is unknown. Two week later I had a burning sensation in my groin with no swollen lymph nodes which proceeded to the third week and slight headaches which usually stopped after taking painkillers. No any other symptoms .Could this be an early sign of HIV?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that there are HIV symptoms but they may also be completely unrelated.

Since you are at least 3 weeks post contact, you are past the window period for some of the tests such as the PCR test, RNA test or rapid tests.

I hope this helps
