What Causes Burning Sensation In The Hands And Feet?

My hands and feet are more often than not hot. At some nights there is a burning sensation. Sometimes, during my period especially, it feels like someone is forcing out energy from my legs. There is this weird sensation in my upper spine. I don t know how to describe it but it is felt most when I lie straight on my back. I can also feel my heart beating strongly.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to HCM...

Such presentation should be evaluated through detailed history by asking stool habits , menstruation history if female , heat intolerance etc to rule out thyroid problem...
If suspected investigated through TSH estimation and T4 estimation....

If hyperthyrpidism present than treated with propylthiouracil like drug ....
For palpitation ekg should also be done ....

Rule out anemia by CBC and peripheral smear examination.....

Vitamin b12 level also should be checked ...

Take care

Advise : physician consultation for examination.
