What Causes Burning Sensation In The Knee After A Knee Surgery?

I injured my knee at work last july, had surgery to repair a torn meniscus. I continued to have the same burning sensation in my knee after the surgery and it continues now 8 months later and I still cant really bend it very well and if I push my knee outward, I feel intense strain that shoots up into my hip. Is it possible they missed something in there? The MRI isn t showing anything else that s damaged.

Hi,

Knee replacement for a torn meniscus will definitely be going to take time for complete resolution of movement. Even in some cases, it may not be possible to have the proper articulation of the knee joint after replacement because of stiffness.

So have regular physiotherapy for improvement in the motion of movement.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
