Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Burning Sensation In The Left Hand And Severe Migraines?
I have had burning in my left hand and severe migraines for the last 2 weeks. First time it was my entire hand, felt like it was on fire for hours, to the point I was in tears, with a migraine at the same time. Since that incident, I ve had intermittent burning in my fingertips and daily migraines.
I am so sorry for the pain that you must be experiencing. Migraines themselves can be quite horrible but with other symptoms added, it must be horrendous.
Two weeks of migraines is excessive, it would be best to see your doctor for medication. Migraines can sometimes be associated with neurological symptoms such as the burning that you are experiencing but other causes still need to be ruled out.
In addition to pain medication, you may need prophylactic medication (medication to stop the headaches from occurring too often). A look at factors that may be aggravating the headaches would also be done as well
I hope this helps
