Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Burning Sensation In The Left Side Of The Back?
I started having a burning and needle kind of pain in my back on the left side last night. I have tingling in my toes on the left foot but I am able to move and sit. The burning is not constant and I can reduce it by movement when it occurs. Can you make any suggestions on what I can do to help with this since it is a holiday weekend and all doctors are closed?
You may take ibuprofen 600-800 mg every 6-8 hours after food to reduce any pain and local inflammation. Very likely you are having a nerve pain due to a nerve pinch, which is generally treated with pain killers and physiotherapy. If you can find a physiotherapist to assist you it would be a very good idea.
If no improvement or any worsening you will need to see a doctor.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
