General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Itching is most commonly related to an allergic reaction. It is possible to have an allergic reaction to medication. Allergic reactions can occur to food, drink, meds, environmental pollutants, animals.

The burning sensation may not be related to the medications though this can be ruled out. In some persons it may be related to abnormal function of the nerves, this is called neuropathy.

You can consider an assessment by your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
