What Causes Burning Sensation In The Legs While On Lisinopril And Amlodipine?
I take lisinopril and amlodopine for high blood pressure. Been taking since 2009. We I first started taking them I had a burning sensation in my legs and feet. No pain, no tingling. over the years it has gradually got worse. Now it is in legs, feet, hands arms. sensation in mouth. Sensation in tongue feels like I have been burned by a hot liquid. Burning sensation in lips and around teeth sometimes across my face on my cheeks. This is a all the time feeling sometimes the sensations are stronger than others. The doctor stated these medications were not the cause. wants to do a nerve study. It is not tingling. no pain no pens and needles feeling. Doctors basicly wants to eliminate could be this could be that. not to mention my portion. what could it be don t have money to pay you either.
The burning sensation is not related to your anti-hypertensives and may be due to some neuropathic causes. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.
