What Causes Burning Sensation In The Mouth After Taking Dulera?
I have severe COPD and am on O2 for 24-7. I was on Dulera and it worked very well, but it made my mouth burn, had to use a spacer to use it. But after using Dulera for a few years the burning in my mouth became continuous and I couldn't stand it any more went on Symbicourt but it is not as good as I cough a lot more in order to bring up sputum. Is there any way to take Dulera and avoid the burning mouth?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain Burning sensation in mouth is a side effect of Dulera that is a steroid based inhaler and burning sensation caused by it can be prevented by substituting it with other drugs used as an inhaler..
As of now to get relieved you can start gargling with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine.. Avoid spicy foods and take a soft bland diet.. Suck ice pops..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
