Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Physician Assistant is prescribing a cystoscopy for me. I am currently experiencing a burning sensation in my penis. I was tested for bladder infection twice, but no evidence of an infection was found. The tests consisted of urine analysis. I ve had a catheter inserted as well. My urine release is satisfactory; they found 183 CC just yesterday. Does it make sense to have the cystoscopy procedure?

What Causes Burning Sensation In The Penis?
Hi welcome to health care magic... Here you have not mentioned your urine report... If pus cells and bacteria present than acute urinary tract infection, cystitis, kidney infection can be present... For that USG can be done as preliminary work up..... If cystitis changes like thickened wall, any growth etc if present than cystoscopy like investigation needed... For infection full course antibiotic needed.. You have not mentioned why catheterization done in your case... Your doctor might suspecting bladder problem after your examination and report.. Advise : Consult nephrologist and follow his advise according to examination ...
