Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Over the last few days i started to feel a flushing on my lower shin area. It would come and go..sometimes briefly but tonight it got rather bad...and it was burning for afew minutes. I haven t fallen or anything but i can be sedentary. It doesn t seem to hurt just this flushing that I m feeling...no swelling either...just this burning feeling low on my shin. Now,I m getting scared..it isn t going away..and it is frightening me. Should I go to the hospital?
* As per my surgical experience, the burning sensation on the shin may have different issues as
- an early sign of viral or bacterial infection
- neurologic lesion of the proximal nerve
- non-specific without any particular cause.
