What Causes Burning Sensation In The Sternum With History Of Stomach Ulcers?

I have had a burning sensation in my sternum for the past 2 days. I have had stomach ulcers before. This is not acid reflux. I have been taking my prescription omeprozole and it does not help. It burns very bad when I swallow anything, especially anything carbonated.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

In your case, I advise restricting carbonated items, tea, coffee, alcohol, and spices. Get tested for H. pylori infection. Take Omeprazole two times.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Varinder Joshi, General & Family Physician
