What Causes Burning Sensation In The Thigh While Suffering From Sciatica?

I was diagnosed with sciatica over two years ago. I had the spinal steroid injections. It helped for quite a while. It has been acting up again and I have a burning sensation in the front of my thigh and several times a day it feels like something is being ripped out of it. I ve also noticed that I have to urinate all of a sudden and I cant keep it in no matter how hard I try. I have wet my pants several times. Could all of this be related?

General Surgeon 's  Response
You could be having lumbar vertebral problem like a disc prolapse with cord and nerve compression. This would cause sciatic pain and the neuropathic discomfort of burning sensation of the thighs and of the legs. It is possible that nerve injury is causing the urinary incontinance. You must please get an MRI of the lumbo-sacral spine. This would diagnose any vertebral problem including prolapsed intervertibral disc. If so, please get the disc removed by minimal access surgery. Please consult a Neurologist or an Orthopedic surgeon for the investigation and management.
