What Causes Burning Sensation In The Throat After Taking Topiramate?

About 10 ,11 days ago I Started having a burning sensation in my throat. I thought I was getting a cold or strep. Yesterday I started getting the burning sensation in my stomach. I also am nauseated at times. This is not worse when laying down or bending over and is normal for acid reflux. At times I am very hungry but after a few bites I no longer have an appetite. I started taking topiramate 6 weeks ago for migraines. Is it possible the topiramate is causing this or is it acid reflux or something else ?

Hello,

It could be about of pharyngitis. As first-line management, you can do warm saline gargles for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist you can consult an ENT specialist and evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
