What Causes Burning Sensation In The Vagina After Inserting Canesten?

So i recently was at the doctors and was diagnosed with a yeast infection and was told to purchase the the 3 or 7 day canesten So i got the 3 day on with the tablet that you insert and the cream I jusr started yesterday and i found that after inserting it, its burns for a little bit and i dont know if this is normal or if i should stop using it? I also tried again tonight and the same burning sensation was there

Hello,

You have already inserted canesten tablet & applied canesten ointment topically for 3 days, ideally your symptoms should reduce in 3 (three) days. However, if the symptoms are still there you can continue to apply Canesten ointment locally for 4 days, if you are not having side effects. You may stop the Canesten tablet application in the vagina since you are experiencing burning. Other side effects of Canesten are vaginal discomfort, irritation, swelling , rash, burning, vaginal peeling, etc.
