What Causes Burning Sensation In The Vagina While Inserting A Tampon?
I started my period yesterday and I m on medicine for a uti it s called sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim. And everything was fine no burning then today I had a burning feeling when putting in a new tampon so a couple hours later I took it out and i still have the feeling just a little more when I stand up. I ve been on the medicine for my uti for about 4 days now why do I still have a little bit of the burning sensation?

There may be irritation or injury of vaginal wall and this should not worry you. This should subside within few days. If not, then you should do STD testing and check your ovaries with ultrasound since some disorders such as endometriosis or ovarian cysts amy lead to such symptoms.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
