What Causes Burning Sensation In The Vagina?

I have an IUD, it was placed last Tuesday on Halloween, I know that cramping is normal for a few days afterwards, but I had unprotected sex this morning and have been experiencing burning in my vaginal area, I also feel a bit of burning and discomfort during intercourse. I feel like it could be a UTI, but I wanted a doctors evaluation before I go and get treated.
