Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain you are definitely suffering from
GLOSSITIS which is inflammation of the tongue but it does not seems to have caused due to taking of Vitamin D as deficiency of
vitamin b12 is seen to cause glossitis and not its intake..
It can be due to
allergic reaction to any of the component of the new toothpaste that you are taking and my suggestion is to better stop using it and use the other brand that you must be probably using previous to the new one..
Anti-allergic medications are a causative factors for
dry mouth and dry mouth is a side effect of taking anti-allergics regularly and many a times dry mouth causes
atrophy of the oral mucosas and lead to glossitis..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and treatment will be based upon the cause which to me seems more to be due to anti allergic medicines and not the toothpaste..
As of now do
cold water gargles and suck on ice pops for reducing inflammation and pain.
Chew sugar free chewing gums as it helps in stimulating saliva flow and ease the dry mouth..
Drink plenty of water..
Avoid hot an spicy food and take a soft bland diet..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
