What Causes Burning Sensation On The Chest And Upper Back Area With Goiter?

I have a burning sensation non stop in my chest and upper back area. I have been tested for GERD and had a EGD with dilation, my gallbladder has been tested, I have had chest xrays and thoraciac exrays and everything is coming back negative. It s gradually gotten worse in 3 years time. It used to come and go but now it s all the time. I have xrays but haven t had an MRI. I have been in the care of a chiropractor during this time and have some degenrative changes present. I am just tired of not having any answers. I do have a large goiter on the left side of my throat that hasn t been looked at in 2 years. Could it have gotten bigger and causing my problems?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No, goiter cant not cause burning sensations in chest and upper back area. So no need to worry for goiter as a cause.
In my opinion, your all symptoms are mostly due uncontrolled GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
GERD is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter. Because of this the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause symptoms of burning central chest pain, back pain, belching, burping etc.
Certain lifestyle modifications are needed along with drugs (pantoprazole) for control of GERD.
1. Avoid hot and spicy food.
2. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
3. Avoid large meals, instead take frequent small meals. Avoid junk food.
4. Quit smoking and Alcohol if you have these habits.
5. Go for walking after meals.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
