Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Several weeks ago, I noticed that spices began to burn my tongue and lips. About a week ago in the morning there was a gummy solution on my lips. Then the inside of my mouth started to hurt . I wear dentures so I left the bottom dentures out but I am still feeling the burning sensation on my lips, more the bottom lip. What can cause this?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain it can be a denture sore mouth..
Other cause can be Burning tongue/mouth syndrome is a condition in which there is burning sensation inside mouth and can also be associated with a scalded feeling and can also experience numbing sensation..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical examination and investigations like blood tests can be advised.. Treatment of underlying cause will resolve the symptoms.. As of now to get relieved you can start gargling with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine.. Take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen.. Avoid spicy foods and take a soft bland diet.. Suck ice pops..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
