What Causes Burning Sensation On The Scalp After Applying Tacroz Forte Lotion?

Hello doctor I had an appointment with Dr Stephen john for dandruff issue recently .. I believe its the same Dr whom I am addressing too ... I was recommended to use tacroz forte lotion everyday and a shampoo to be used for alternate days .... I got.the shampoo and I was using it alternate days .. I got lotion after a week ... by the time I started applying lotion on the scalp .. the dandruff weren t there ... now it s been told to use the lotion for.3.months ... but when I put on the scalp yesterday it resulted in burning sensation today ... could you advice how to use.the lotion (tacroz )

Hi..

Well if you were using Tacroz forte lotion only for dandruff and if you have burning sensation then it can be a side effect of the same as Tacroz forte lotion contains active ingredient Tacrolimus .

If the dandruff is completely resolved then you should avoid using this lotion..

Also you can continue the shampoo for some more time..

Wash the hairs every alternate day to maintain cleanliness.
Do not let sweat amd moisture to accumulate..
Drink plenty of water..
