What Causes Burning Sensation On Tongue With Bumps?

Ive had a Burning tongue since Feb.1st. and towards the back I noticed...bumps on the tongue.Do you think this can be Lupus??? Plus redness on my face both cheeks. 24/7. And Fatigue. The redness on my face and a patch on my arm area will get Hot and Redder as soon as I go in the Sun as well.Any thoughts I d appreciate it.??? Janice Weaver.

Hi,

Burning tongue might be due to several reasons. Some allergic or hypersensitivity reactions due to some allergen might aggravate it. It is advisable to keep a check on the daily food consumption items you are taking. Autoimmune conditions such as Lichen planus might affect the oral cavity and extremities including body skin. Nutritional deficiency, such as vitamin B12 or iron deficiency might affect the oral cavity causing burning sensation and stomatitis. Rule out the above causes would improve the over all health.
