What Causes Burning Sensation On Upper Left Arm?

Hello there. My name is Cassandra. I m 28 years old, and consider myself a health individual with no known health problems or allergies. I take a daily multivitamin and a daily probiotic. The only prescription medication I currently use is NuvaRing. My question is as follows -- Five days ago, I began to notice a sunburn like sensation on my upper left arm. (I have not been exposed to the sun.) This sensation was subtle. However, the sensation is persisting, and is becoming harder and harder to ignore. The burning sensation seems to have increase in intensity, and has also spread down up my arm and to my shoulder/back area. The skin appears normal -- no visible rash, bumps, blotchiness or other lesions. In addition, the skin feels normal. Although it feels like a sunburn, it is not hot to touch.

Hi,

All this may be due to compression of cervical nerves in neck region.

You can take aceclofenac + thiocochicoside combination three times a day, pregabalin at night by prescription of your family doctor.

Apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening.

Avoid work which causes prolong flexion of neck.

I hope you have got your answer.

Thanks.

Dr.Singh.
