What Causes Burning Sensation While Urinating Post Intercourse?
9 days ago I had sex with my girlfriend of many years. She is the only person I ve had sex with for many years. I remember that the sex was a little longer than the usual 5 minutes ...and i went forcefully in the missionary position. Within 24 hours I started having a burning when I pee feeling, I thought that maybe I had irritated something with the forceful penetration. It wasn t a real bad burn, but slight and started to also feel like I wanted to pee even after peeing. The burn pretty much went away after about 5 days, but still the funny need to pee more sensation after peeing is still kind of there but getting better day by day I think. I was guessing this was either std or UTI or just an irritation from some slight infection that I could just drink more water to get rid of. I think it s getting better. I am just wondering if it was a UTI is it okay to just treat it like I am without antibiotics? Or do you really need antibiotics to completely get the virus out? Also, she was was having night sweats around the time we had sex 9 days ago. She has not seen her doctor this week. We haven t had sex since. Any advice on what to do or what might have happened?
Based on the history you have shared, it can be an attack of UTI. Urinalysis and cultures may be sent and preliminary antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin may be started on urinalysis report.
Drink ample amount of water and use Citro-Soda sachet as well.
