Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
On rare occasions when drinking (one in 30 times at most) I get a burning sensation when I pee. It usually happens when I m drinking heavily, and seems to happen only with hard liquor, not beer or wine. It goes away in about 2 hours if I stick to water. What is this?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of burning sensation while urinating . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food poisoning , lactose intolerance , electrolyte imbalance , irritable bowel syndrome , stone , kidney problem and UTI . I would suggest you to consult nephrologist for proper examination. Doctor may order urine test , ultrasound , endoscopy along with that take history. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. Also consult urologist for proper examination and treatment for UTI.
