What Causes Burning Sensation While Urination With History Of Prostate Cancer?
Hello--my husband is on a proventive Rx of Keflex 500 mg one every other day by his urologist. He has had cancer of the prostate 20 years ago treated by radiation. He sees the urologist every 6 months or as needed. While we were away for the holidays he complained he has burning and felt like he had an infection. I discovered he hadn t taken a few does of the Keflex then. I gave his 1000 mg right then and alot of water to drink. That evening I repeated the 1000 dose. The next day I gave him 1000 mg splint in 2 doses. He developed a fever 100degrees (which he had on and off for three days) Today he feels like the burning has returned and frequency, but no fever. He is down to only one capsule a day now. Appt with the Dr. next week. We have a Rx from GP or pyridium 200 mg I feel he should take which he never has yet. Anything else I can do to help him other than ER?
