Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am a 34 year old male in good health. I have been experiencing burning after urinating the last couple days. There is no discharge and i have reason to believe it is not an STD because i believe i am in a monogamous relationship. I think it may be a UTI from anal sex, or perhaps a side effect of heavy cocaine use earlier in the week at a music festival. What do you think?
Hi, I know this certainly very disturbing. Since you said you had anal sex before, then maybe it caused by urinary tract infection.
In general, the cause of burning sensation or pain when urinate in men is mostly caused by: 1. Chlamidia (STD) 2. Gonorrhea (STD) 3. Kidney stone
Of course, to know the exact diagnosis of what you feel required direct examination by the doctor. With the help of investigations such as a blood check, complete urine examination, and ultrasound, you can infer the cause of your complaint. An Urologist will understand your case very well. The management provided depends on the condition of each patient and mostly will be given analgesic and antibiotics.
By now, here some things that you can do: 1. Do not pass the urge to urinate 2. Drink a lot of water 3. Temporarily use a protector when having sex
Hope you get well soon. Sincerely, dr. Nurul Falah
