My gall bladder was removed 1 yr ago but I am experiencing the same burping and mild discomfort in the area as if I still had my gall bladder. What could the problem be? My mom had hers removed and experienced similar problems. It was her gall bladder duct.
Dyspeptic symptoms and burping are quite common after gallbladder removal.
It will settle by itself on a couple of months. As a first line management, you can take antacids like pantoprazole or omeprazole for symptomatic relief.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
