What Causes Causes Flashes Of Light In The Field Of Vision?

Hi. This is minor but I am seeing a flashing light in my left eye. Similar to floaters but a light. Almost like a small flash of lightning. I have never experienced this before. I feel fine. I am 67 years old. Can you shed any information on this?

Are you a diabetic? The symptoms you are talking may be mild but can be of concern as they can be of conditions like vitrous hemorrhage or retinal detatchment. Visit an ophthalmologisy for fundoscopic examination.
