What Causes Cephalic Vein Thrombosis?

I have some lumps in what I think is my cephalic vein on my right arm, near the wrist (thumb side). The lumps have been there for quite a while. I have a lot of pain in my wrist, palm, forearm, and elbow. I use this arm a lot for work, I m feeling like I m developing some kind of problem from over-use. I was told the lumps may just be valves, but it seems abnormal compared to the same location on my other arm.

Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you with thanks for a consult!

I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns according to the latest medical guidelines.

Such kind of subcutaneous lumps may really be of venous origin, or may be a small lipoma. The other possibility in your case may be the Tendon infection due to overuse of that hand and excessive work of the muscle and tendons.

Hot fomentation and Ibuprofen will be helpful. If this is inflammation of the tendons, you will get better in few days.

But, I suggest you to get a consultation from a Vascular Surgeon for the complete evaluation.
