What Causes Change In Nail Texture When Recovering From Prostate Cancer?

I am a Black 69 year old male with HP, COPD, two stents and recovering from prostrate cancer.. I noticed that within the last month my finger nails have changed. Half are not smooth from the growth area outward toward the tip. The old portion is hard with ridges that I am use to observing. Under the new growth the color is lighter in color. This may not be of any significance at all, however it is really noticeable to me especially considering all of the meds I am taking. Looking forward to you observation.

Hi there. Our nails reflect a lot regarding our health. Your recent tryst with cancer and the medications would have caused it. It will take abt six months to be normal again and that's bases on the rate of nail growth. Don't worry as its just a cosmetic problem. Wishing you the best of health. Take care.
