What Causes Chest And Brain Discomfort After Having Frozen Food?

today took large gulp of a semi frozen smoothie...experienced brain and chest freeze..chest discomfort was enough for me to stop the car till it passed, ..... dont usually drink such cold liquids....I had a stent in LAD coronary artery 2011....hx HBP, med controlled also told I have dyastolic dysfunction, with good EF. Am active 72 yr old...Could this be caused by sudden constriction heart artery?? thanks....Sofia

you are a known case of CAD the stent placement ,HTN
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW the drug what you are using for CAD

anyway the pain you experienced subsided it may be mild angina or gastritis due to cold items like drinks

I would to suggest once again coronary angiogram to know the position of stent in LAD ..OK

don't worry sir but have a mild exercise daily eat health cholesterol free diet ,,use regular CAD medication, avoid tension ,, ok
