What Causes Chest Congestion After Taking Lysine?
I swallowed a 500 mg lysine pill (which is huge) and it felt like it went down the wrong pipe. This was about a month ago. Since then I have gotten pneumonia and my vocal cords don t work right. I have congestion in my chest still after taking a z pack. Could it still be there?

It is not possible for the pill to go into wind pipe. Its entry is prevented at epiglottis.You need to work up on pnuemonia by X-ray and antibiotics post consultation.
