What Causes Chest Discomfort After Angioplasty?

I had a stent corrected last week, due to it blocking with tissue plus a little plaque. It only lasted 1 year 8 months. Now I have 3 stents. I also have a left aortic artery that is blocked 30%, which was not corrected at this time. I want to know why my 1st stint failed so soon. Is it normal to feel more chest discomfort soon after angioplasty?

Hi There

After going through your query I understand your concern.

I would like to tell you that every person has a different tendency of plaque deposition in arteries and if your cholesterol levels are not maintained then you are more prone to plaque deposition and ultimately resulted in re-angioplasty.

Medicines like Aspirin can cause GERD that can result as chest pain for that you can take over the counter antacids . If it doesn't help then personally consult with your Cardiologist for further evaluation.

DON'T STOP ANY MEDICINE ON YOUR OWN
