Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was sick about 6 weeks ago, but this feeling in my chest has not gone away. It feels thick sort of, like there is something there. I would assume it may be how asthma feels, although I have never had asthma. I have recurrent dry, unproductive cough associated as well. No difficulty breathing I don t think.
Hi I did review your concern. Your chest discomfort and dry cough could be due to post viral pleurisy or lower respiratory tract infection. i would advice you to get a chest xray done and also if the cough is absolutely dry take cough syrup like robittusin or dextromethorphan. it will help you to sleep well and reduce dry cough bouts. Do not take if you have sputum along with cough.
I hope this helps wish you all the best Thank you for choosing hcm.
