What Causes Chest Pain After Abdominal Hysterectomy?
Hello. I am a 37 yr old female who had a total abdominal hysterectomy two years ago. Soon after I began having pain in my upper right chest and shoulder area. The only time it occurs is when I have vaginal inter coarse. It feels as a burning throbbing radiating pain. Like a nerve. I have had mri s, X-rays, muscle relaxers, pain mess and no one can find out what is wrong. Can you give me some advice? I am miserable and I cannot seem to find the right dr who will listen instead of pushing pills at me. I have even went to physical therapy to see if I had an injury that they could help me work through that no one is finding and that never helped either.
Burning pain is often related to injury or abnormal function of the nerve affecting an area. In this case, there may be trauma to the nerve. Nerve conduction tests by a neurologist may be very helpful to determine the exact cause of the pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Michelle Gibson James
