What Causes Chest Pain After Having A Drink Containing Phenylalanine?

I have been using a powered drink mix which contains phenylaline. Lately I have drunk 3 or 4 of these a day. I have been experiencing pain in the heart area. Yesterday it was strapping pain but now the area above the heart just aches. Could this be a side effect?

hi sir/mam,phenylalanine is harmful only for patients with phenylketonuria.for normal subjects,it has no adverse effects.so,if you are not suffering from phenylketonuria, your symptoms might not be due to that drink.the usual recommendations are:
1)an ECG would rule out many cardiac causes of chest pain
2)if ECG is normal,we can think of any musculoskeletal causes
3)you can also observe by avoiding consumption of that drink for 4-5 days.
hope my clarification satisfies your doubts.any further queries will be attended promptly.thank you.take care.bye.
