General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Thyroxine can increase heart rate and basal metabolic rate of the body. Palpitations, tremors, anxiety can occur as side effects. I would suggest you to take an ECG to check your cardiac status. I also suggest consulting your doctor to assess if any dose reduction of thyroxine is required.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
