What Causes Chest Pain After Lifting Heavy Weight?

Hi doctor my husband is suffering from disturbing chest pain from yesterday night... Looks like he lifted a 5 gallon water can the wrong way... Could you please advice me on wat to do to ease out the pain... Or will lifting something cause pain in the chest (rib cage area)

Lifting heavy weight might have caused chest and hand muscle spasms. For that he might be experiencing pain. Ask him to take analgesic with muscle relaxant combination after food twice a day. He should be alright in about 3 days.
