What Causes Chest Pain Along With Abdominal Pain?

I went to the er on Sunday night with chest pains and pains in my stomach. They ran an ekg , did blood work and a chest xray. Everything came up negative. I am a 37 year old female. I m still having the pains but not as severe.I do not see an internal doctor until April 5. I am under heavy stress at my job. Do you think I have an ulcer or something else.

Hello,

You may be having Stress-induced gastritis or acid peptic disease. You need to follow some lifestyle tips:

1. Do not eat spicy food.
2. Take medications for gastritis- Pantop/Omez/Rantac.
3. Take little food at frequent intervals, breakfast around 8 am, small snack at 11 am, lunch at 1 pm, and small snack at 4 pm and dinner at 8 pm.
4. Drink plenty of water.
5. Do not smoke, take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea.
6. Do not take much of stress. Stress aggravates gastritis.
7. Do regular exercise, at least half an hour per day.
8. Learn meditation techniques.
9. Follow this regularly for 21 days. It is said that anything you practice regularly for 21 days becomes a habit.
