What Causes Chest Pain Along With Breathlessness After Taking Chantix?
I am taking chantix and I am having trouble breathing and my lungs and chest hurt!! I have asthma and have had the worse attack almost to intubating me!! I have been released from the hospital but I am still having my chest hurt and breathing issues!! Never had this before chantix!! Should I stop taking it!! I have also been vomiting and I am so extremely weak too!!
Chantix (Varenicline) -a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor partial agonist reduces the feelings of craving and withdrawal caused by smoking cessation.
You need to quit smoking, if you are having attacks of severe asthma requiring ventilatory support.
Nausea and vomiting may be troublesome for some people with Varenicline.
Lowering the dosage may be an option.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
