What Causes Chest Pain Along With Coughing Up Of Blood?
i am a 31 year old woman and have smoked for 16 years, on sunday i was diagnosed with sepsis and a shadow on my lung which they said was a a chest infection, i have taken 2-3 days worth of antibiotics but a I am experiencing pain in my chest and now coughing up and blowing out blood. should i be concerned?
Understanding you concern . As per your query you have chest pain , dry cough and heaviness in throat and your tests shows that there is no heart problem . Well the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as gastrointestinal reflux disease . In this condition upper sphincter of esophagus allow the acidic content of stomach to come upwards which cause irritation to mucosa throat and esophagus which causes pain and heaviness along with dry cough . The symptoms can also occur due to chest infection. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper checkup . Doctor may order test like endoscopy , X-ray of upper digestive track and test to check acidity of stomach . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers , proton pump inhibitor and in some severe cases doctor may recommend surgery. For now eat light and frequent meal .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
