What Causes Chest Pain Along With Sweating And Shortness Of Breath?

Hello! I m 26, no family history of heart disease since 08 month m having chest pain, sudden sweating, fast heart beat, dizziness, confused all time, when i lie down i feel my heart beat every where, shortness of breathing.., n recently i hav done my ecg n it shows borderline ecg with probably left atrial abnormality.. Dr. write a blood test and chest xray.., and wen the test done dr say its good, do i hav to worry and go by other test... kindly suggest me

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern

1. as the symptoms are chronic [8 months] and ECG is almost normal apart from left atrial abnormality thus check with a Cardiologist or get a second opinion regarding CAD [coronary artery disease] or IHD [ischemic heart disease]

2. If pulse is normal, and heart is normal, then commonest cause could be anxiety which will respond to beta blockers and tranquilisers
. serum T3,T4,TSH to rule out hyperthyroidism
. ECG and Holter monitor test to rule out Arrhythmias
. blood sugar to exclude hypoglycemia

3. Avoid excess of tea/coffee
. avoid alcohol & smoking
. Avoid mental strain
